Michailidou Domna, Dr.

Domna Michailidou is a Greek economist working on growth strategy, financial crises, capital markets and public finance. Domna is currently the Reforms Adviser to the Leader of the Major Opposition Party, New Democracy, in Greece. She is advising the Leader, Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on a series of issues related to growth and development.

Domna is also Adjunct Lecturer in the Centre of Development Studies, University of Cambridge where she teaches topics related to finance and development, private and public debt and government regulation. She has worked for the OECD in Paris and Athens as an economist and a competition expert. Domna has also taught at the Judge Business School University of Cambridge and UCL’s School of Public Policy. Her latest book, The Inexorable Evolution of Financialisation: Financial Crises in Emerging Markets, was recently published by Palgrave MacMillan. Domna’s work has also appeared in academic journals, institutional reports and the popular press. She has a PhD on Financial and Development Economics from the University of Cambridge.
